The Athens-Clarke County Superior Court Clerk’s office is proud to announce that new and renewal notary public applications are now filled out online. In an effort to provide ease and convenience, Athens-Clarke County Superior Court Clerk’s office, in conjunction with the Georgia Superior Court Clerks’ Cooperative Authority, has developed an online notary public application process. Go to www.gsccca.org and select the Georgia Notary Online Application link. Fill out the application online and print a copy. Once all the necessary signatures are obtained, simply bring the notary public application to the Superior Court Clerk’s office for processing. The GSCCCA has added a feature to send notary renewal notifications via e-mail to those notaries who have provided their email address. It will be sent 30 days in advance of their expiration date.
A notary may provide an e-mail address at the time they apply through the notary online system, or they may complete a form that is available from our website at www.gsccca.org/filesandforms/notaryforms.asp and send it to the GSCCCA. To encourage participation, the GSCCCA has added an option that allows a notary to provide an email address solely for business correspondence purposes such as renewal reminders, while not allowing public display of the e-mail address. New Domestic Case Initiation and Disposition Forms required beginning January 1, 2008. HB 369 from the 2007 legislative session requires the new forms for all domestic relations cases filed and disposed in Superior Court effective January 1, 2008.
